JUNE 2019

This month was a month of planning and preparation. Again we had the privilege to work together with the Ciniselani Stimulation Centre and a new organization on a fundraising project. It was an exciting and fulfilling month.

We were able to assist in raising funds for the Sydenham Foundation of the future NPC. It is a program for youth and young adults which encourages and empowers them to become leaders of tomorrow by involving them in community service.

Red Bagels gave a donation to match other smaller donations to increase the power of each doner. Together we raised a staggering amount, a feat that surpassed even our most optimistic expectations. We were delighted with the amount raised and really happy that we could participate in this fundraiser. It was an extremely successful event. Thank you to everyone who donated and contributed to this fundraiser. We trust that we will see positive results come from our combined efforts.

Red Bagels are so excited to announce the start of the Ciniselani Stimulation Centre toilet project. As the name suggests we will see a beautiful new toilet and washing facility built. This facility will replace the old pit toilets that are being used at the centre currently (see picture above). The new toilet block will be safer, more hygienic, and importantly easier and more dignified to use for the children and teachers.

Thank you once again to everyone who participated in our fundraiser because without you all we could never have achieved such success.

We would like to commend and thank two very special people working on the toilet project for their exceptional hard work and commitment. Patricia and Nkosana you are doing a brilliant job. Thank you.
