The Electric Brands Bus

A few days ago a Dutch electric vehicle startup Electric Brands presented the world with an amazing modular concept Bus.

But Something was wrong with this cute little Mini-Bus. It got the Twitter community go nuts over it.

The Dutch Company named their electric Bus- e-Bussy.

Yes you read it correct, the vehicle is unusually named a word that means something completely inappropriate(Vulgar) in the slang world.

The Dutch must not have a single thought that the vehicle would gain such a flak for it’s name. Usually there are controversies over names, because English has versions for different regions and Dutch mostly do not speak English. But a simple Google Search would have saved them from the criticism.

Apart from all the fuss around it’s name.

The Bus is in fact a good contender for providing competition to VW’s ID Buzz concept.

The company has decided to build the bus on a modular platform which allows transformation into several different types of vehicles as shown in the image.

Electric Brands Detailed Image

The compartment behind the drivers cabin is pretty much convertible to any utilitarian form. You can have all sorts of vehicle choices with upto 10 modular bodies, be it the delivery van, a camper, pickup, flatbed, tourer and many more.

The vehicle has no mechanical links for the drive system and involves drive by wire system. Due to this amazing functionality the driver can move the steering and pedal assembly to any side.

The same vehicle can be used in right hand as well as left hand drive markets. and if you are a bit sporty person you can set it in the center position like the mighty race cars.

With a solar panel on top of the vehicle, you can get some more juice to get through the day. Even in standard city condition the base models promises around 132 miles of range.

The company is aiming to launch the modular Bus in Europe by 2021.

I hope the folks at Electric Brands decide on the final name before the official launch and get better of all the trolls.
