Founded in 2019 as the successor to the small Red Trifecta and History Pit blogs, Red Revolution Media is an independent news source with a focus on socialist politics, activism, protest and the fights against international imperialism, racism and intolerance.
Based in the United Kingdom, RRM has a global outlook and seeks to both highlight the news stories that the mainstream media doesn’t want to talk about while giving support and coverage to oppressed communities and individuals around the world.
Red Revolution Media publishes its own original content alongside content shared via a creative commons license to expand the range of topics able to be covered. Video is provided courtesy of Ruptly. While we aim to make a profit in the future, Red Revolution Media currently operates at a loss.
Red Revolution Media aims to build a following and platform for conversation and seeks to attract quality writers that stand for the same values.
We believe that the likes of The Sun, The Daily Mail and The Express have added nothing but poison into British political discourse. In contrast, the likes of The Guardian only serve to present a more acceptable face of the neo-liberal establishment to the public. The British press is broken.
It is our aim to set the record straight and combat the atmosphere of hate and intolerance that has engulfed both the British and global political spheres, supporting real left-wing political causes, activism and protest.
Critical areas of political interest include socialist politics, the politics of the Middle East and South America, the struggle against the far-right, the struggle of the Palestinian people, anti-imperialism and the worldwide battle for truth and liberty.
Write for Us
We welcome new writers and submissions who produce content in line with our mission statement.
Please take a moment to read our submission guidelines.
Red Revolution is seeking quality content on politic issues around the globe. We like to highlight stories that are either not covered by the mainstream media, are being buried or covered in a wave of propaganda. however, that is not to say that major news is not covered. If the story is big enough or there is something new to say, we’ll be delighted to publish.
We accept both opinion pieces and informational pieces.
Our political alignment is socialist and we do not support the ideologies of conservatism, fascism, libertarianism or anarchism.
We accept both British and American spelling and prefer the AP Stylebook.
All stories should feature a title and subtitle with a quality leading image. Please ensure that your piece is broken up with sufficient white space and not a “wall of text”. Headings and dividers are welcome. This page serves as an example of how a submission might look.
Please ensure all quotations and images are given appropriate credit, and you have sufficient rights for utilisation. Creative Commons images are prefered. Plagiarism is unacceptable.
All stories should carry one of the following tags: “British Politics”, “US Politics”, “European Politics”, “Latin American Politics”, “Middle East Politics” or “World Politics”.
Ideally we prefer writers to submit drafts rather than published articles.
Given the ever-moving nature of the political world, we aim to review all submissions within 24 hours.
Whether you publish your story as locked or not is entirely at your discretion. We advise locked as it entitles you to receive payment from Medium and potentially have your story circulated to a wider audience through curation.
