Crying in the shower

Sitting in the shower
Cold water raining down
naked behind the opaque curtain

Tears running down my face
cool water washing the pain away

Dirty water and diluted tears
swirling around the drain
tiny whirlpool takes it all away

Tears flowing to the streams
Into the river, strong currents ahead

Pain emptying into the delta
Salty tears mixing with fresh ones
New life emerges from the mud

Tears run out to the ocean
Whales and dolphins play

Pain seems farther away
Out in the deep dark sea
Where other’s tears have gone

From crying in the shower….
