On A Snowy Day

On a snowy day
and when youth
was my way,

it was a time to play
make snow people
who would melt away,

shoveling the driveway
making snow angels
wishing they would stay,

there flies the blue jay
cold winds blow
years can’t stay,

Sky turning gray
memories burn bright
in my bed I lay,

I live today
and I’m going home
lead me there I pray.
