Bitlayer Gas Fee Bridge Guide
Since Bitlayer is a Layer 2 solution for BTC, it can only be used with a BTC wallet. To use Redbrick’s Delivery Go for Bitlayer mainnet, you need BTC gas on the Bitlayer mainnet. Therefore, you need to visit the official site bitlayer.org and use the cross-chain bridge.
To use the bridge, you will need a BTC wallet (OKX, Bitget, or Unisat). Additionally, since you are using a cross-chain bridge, you will also need a wallet that supports Ethereum EVM (MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, TokenPocket, or WalletConnect).
You can obtain Bitlayer gas fees through either of the two methods: Bridge&Earn or Get Gas.
First Method: Bridge&Earn
- Visit bitlayer.org and click on [Bridge&Earn].
2. Click on Connect Wallet.
3. Connect your BTC wallet.
4.After connecting your wallet, enter the amount of BTC you want to cross to Bitlayer. Ensure your BTC balance meets the following requirements:
- The minimum amount set by Bitlayer for crossing is currently 0.0005 BTC.
- The reserved cross-chain fee (cross-chain fee is 0.00015 BTC), i.e., the value of (balance) minus (amount), should be at least 0.00015 BTC.
5. Then click on [Connect Wallet]. Choose one of MetaMask, OKX Wallet, Bitget Wallet, TokenPocket, or WalletConnect.
6. Here, OKX Wallet is chosen. The process is similar for other wallets. Click [Connect].
7. If it shows as below, the wallet connection is successful.
8. Finally, click [Send] and the OKX Wallet extension will appear. Click [Confirm].
9. After signing, a bill will pop up indicating “Pending,” meaning the cross-chain transaction is still being processed on the blockchain. The duration of this process depends on the blockchain’s congestion level. When it shows “Complete,” it means the cross-chain transaction has been successfully completed. The arrow points to Bitlayer’s BTC address.
10. You have successfully obtained BTC on Bitlayer through the cross-chain bridge Bridge&Earn.
Second Method: Get Gas
- Click on Get Gas on bitlayer.org.
2. Click Connect Wallet and connect your EVM wallet.
3. After connecting your wallet, select the desired amount of gas and click Purchase.
4. Before the indicated time expires, send USDT (ERC-20) to the QR address.
5. You have successfully obtained BTC on Bitlayer through Get Gas.
