I started working with a candidate in June last year. Unfortunately, given the seniority of the role, she wasn’t successful first time around. We kept in touch.

Through that time I shared as much feedback with her as I could and she started working on some of her development areas.

In January, we finally had a position come up that was perfect for her and I called her with the good news. As she went through the interview process this time around, you could see her potential come to life, her being the best she can be.

Yesterday, we offered her the role and she verbally accepted.

Shortly after, she sent me the below picture of a toy from the film Moana because she was listening to the soundtrack on the way to our office for her final interview.

As I think about what fulfills me in my role as a recruiter I think of moments like this.

Moments, where I get to see wonderful people shine, thrive and take flight beyond the challenges they may face, and to know that in small way I was able to somehow support that journey.
