How to Sell Your Unwanted Gift Cards for Bitcoin

Sell Cards
Sellers can choose any rate within a specified range (below) for all brands listed on the site on the Sell Cards page. The price shown to buyers on the site will include Redeeem’s service fee, based on the total retail amount on the card.

Receipts
As a peer-to-peer platform, we do not require receipts with every gift card and we do not restrict payment methods. However, due to high levels of fraud (especially Amazon and iTunes), we highly recommend attaching a receipt (png, jpg, jpeg) so your cards sell faster and you avoid issues with disputes. Based on our data, gift cards with the highest success rates have the following attributes:
- Receipts show “cash” payment
- Store name and address are visible
- Gift card serial number matches receipt
- Purchased recently (last 24 hours)
Cards should be fully legible with no obstructions to the serial number or redemption code. We accept both scanned and watermarked images, but our buyers will be issued a warning due to the slightly higher risk.
Buy Cards
Buyers have to buy Credits before they can buy any gift cards. Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. We use CoinPayments to convert Bitcoin and other crypto into Credits for 0.00% fee. You do not need to send crypto to your Redeeem wallet to buy Credits. No identity verification required to buy Credits. You can also buy bitcoin with PayPal for 7.00% fee by trading with one of our verified Redeeem partners on Paxful.
Public Advertisements
We use Ads as a tool so buyers can communicate to sellers which gift cards they want them to buy from stores. Ads expire after 24 hours, so always look at how recently an Ad was posted before buying a gift card.
Earnings
All earnings from the day are calculated in USD. You can request a payout into bitcoin at any time on the Earnings page. This policy is to save on miner fees and protect sellers from bitcoin price fluctuations throughout the day. The maximum amount of owed penalties will be deducted from each payout. Once bitcoin has been deposited to your wallet, it is in your sole possession.
Currencies
We now accept gift cards in multiple currencies like GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD and JPY and from multiple countries like Amazon UK, FR, AU and CA. For a full list of supported gift cards go to our Sell Cards page. Always check the website address and currency of gift cards before buying or selling. Vanilla Gift Cards
We now allow trading VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Vanilla and OneVanilla gift cards. We recommend always requiring a receipt and double check the website carefully (onevanilla.com vs vanillagift.com). We accept only non-reloadable gift cards that are not transferrable for cash at ATMs.
Bulk Import and Export
Sellers can now upload gift cards onto Redeeem in bulk using our Bulk Import tool in the app. Drag and drop your CSV, XLS or XLSX spreadsheet into the dotted box area and start your import. Buyers can also export their gift cards with a simple click on the Orders page for faster buying.
Brand Text Alerts
Buyer and sellers can subscribe to text alerts when certain brands become available. Visit the Profile page to adjust your desired messaging channel (SMS or WhatsApp) then go to the Alerts page to adjust your alert settings.
Buy Bitcoin with PayPal

Dispute Insurance
To help solve disputes faster (especially with Amazon and iTunes), we encourage buyers to record their gift card claim attempts using Loom browser extension (Chrome), Screen Recording (iOS) or AZ Screen Recorder (Android). Buyers must attempt the code instantly after it is pasted into the Amazon input field. Buyers can refund any gift card within the cooling period and receive a full refund. Sellers can then file a dispute within 1 hour of the refund and our support team will attempt to resolve the dispute within 24 hours. As a result, over 94% of our cards in December 2019 were valid.
Lower Fees
On Redeeem, sellers set their own rates, and sellers are no longer charged fees for taken cards. We charge an industry-low 4.0% service fee on every trade, and the rest of the savings is enjoyed by the buyer. So head over to redeeem.com and trade your first gift card!
