#1: It’s a match! Idlir & Beck et al.
CONGRATULATIONS! When a ReDI student finds a job, the whole team is proud and happy about this success. We want to share with you the voices and experiences of our students and partners. How did they meet? Why did it match? How was the start? And what are their goals and vision for the future?
#1: Idlir (Albanian, 34 ) graduated at ReDI Munich and is now working for Beck et al. as a consultant.
ReDI School: Vivek, how did you get connected to Idlir, your new ReDI employee?
Vivek, Beck et al.: We have met Idlir for the first time last year in autumn when Beck et al. delivered a workshop series on Cloud and DevOps. Idlir was a dedicated participant bringing always good discussion points and showing great interest as well as knowledge in Cloud topics as well a lot of energy to further develop and grow on the field. Furthermore, we interviewed him at the HR Summit starting of this year in February. (Editor’s note: 2020)
Why did you hire Idlir?
Idlir had exact the skills which we were searching for (extended O365 Knowledge) and the most important experience already in customer support.
Another topic that caught our attention is that Idlir lives more than 80km from Munich and did not mind to take a late train home to attend the workshops. His inner motivation allied to fast learning and communication skills were key to the success of the hiring process
How were the first weeks together?
Due to COVID, we had a special situation with onboarding. We just had one meeting for the general handover (hardware) and the first introduction of our customer. Since then we started with the Onboarding 100% online. Due to Idlir had very extended skills we had no issue to organize Online-Meetings and Idlirs onboarding was done more or less in 2 weeks. We just had to teach him the special-aspects of our customer.
“I did chose ReDI School to refresh my knowledge on Azure and didn’t regret it. I learned a lot new things and everything was explained carefully during the sessions. Additionally to the regular classes ReDI gave me the possibility to join Tech Talks, Workshops and Career Trainings and I got to know a lot of interesting people to start a network here in Munich.
I heard about Beck et al. in a ReDI-Workshop to learn more about Microsoft Azure. The workshop was done by Beck et al. people and my first impression was outstanding. Great atmosphere with awesome people ready to do the best for the students.
I was so happy to get a job-offer after joining the ReDI HR Summit and finally starting at Beck et al. as a consultant. I like their vision, the colleagues but also the technology used. My start at Beck et al. was really smooth and it was a warm welcome. Due to Corona we could not meet in person at the beginning — but the virual onboarding worked well! I already knew some of my new colleagues from the workshop and courses. This helped me a lot at the beginning!
My goals? Next year I want to make my family happier, grow further professionally and travel to Bali for some good holidays.
In my career I would love to speak at Microsoft Conferences, show the amazing products for collaboration and what are they capable of. Talk about Azure and the amazing services offered and how to make use of them to solve real life problems. This is what I want to achieve next!
