City Council Meeting Highlights (Feb. 8, 2016)
For those of you who missed the City Council meeting last night, no worries. In our continued effort to ensure that everyone can join the conversation, here are some highlights from the meeting along with helpful links for more details.
Feb. 8, 2016 Highlights:
- Council and community collaborative Redwood City 2020 recognized the “Coffee with Cops” and “Donuts with Deputies” outreach programs run by the Redwood City Police Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. These crucial programs enable members of the public to interact informally with local law enforcement, and ask any questions they might have. Learn more here .

- Council voted unanimously to authorize the implementation of the Peninsula Clean Energy Community Choice Aggregation Program. This program will help make power sources for Redwood City residents more sustainable, and increase competition in the clean energy market. Read more in the City’s Peninsula Clean Energy FAQ.

- Council held a public discussion about Growth Management during which it received feedback from the community on growth-related issues. Learn more by reading the City staff report shared at the meeting.
- Council will discuss next steps on Growth Management as part of its annual priority-setting process during the City Council meeting on February 22. This meeting will also feature a discussion about the Mid-Year Budget. View this event on our calendar so you can save the date and participate.
