Join your Redwood City neighbors for National Night Out Events on Tuesday, August 1!

Annual National Night Out events seek to make our neighborhoods safer through strengthening public safety relationships while bringing back a true sense of community.

Did you know that thousands of community members across the nation participate in National Night Out each year? In an effort to expand community building and community engagement, the City of Redwood City is expanding this year’s event and six neighborhood associations will be participating by hosting community events across the City!

Learn more about National Night Out and ways you can be involved though this blog post. We look forward to seeing you out in the community on Tuesday, August 1st!

Neighborhood events will be held in parks and blocked off streets this year. City Council members, Police and Fire Department personnel, and City Manager staff will be out and about town during the evening events so make sure to say hello, share your favorite neighborhood story and provide some insight into a neighborhood issue. Above all, the neighborhood associations are planning great activities from a car show to live local bands and everything between, so have fun and get to know your neighbors and community members!

See below for more details about each of the participating neighborhoods. All community members are welcome at any of these events. Have fun and we look forward to seeing your photos through social media. Follow the City of Redwood City on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Nextdoor! Don’t forget to submit your photos from National Night Out to our photo contest!
