Next Earth Coming to Reef Finance’s Reef Chain in Future Release
Reef Finance and Next Earth are thrilled to share that Next Earth will integrate Reef Chain into a future release of the Next Earth platform!
The idea of owning virtual land is a concept that has been around since the inception of massive multiplayer online role playing games (MMORPGs). However, the idea of a truly decentralized virtual world and economy, based on a copy of the real world, has never been attempted before. Next Earth’s goal is to create a transparent, virtual land platform governed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). This platform will allow for purchasing and trading of virtual land non-fungible tokens (NFTs) without an intermediary, where one NFT represents 100m2 of Earth’s surface. Users and players will be able to land using a crypto gateway to foster the broader adoption of cryptocurrency.
The Reef Chain ecosystem offers access to decentralized finance (DeFi) liquidity across multiple blockchains thanks to a variety of liquidity bridges, and hundreds of developers bringing their dApps, protocols and tokens to Reef chain. Next Earth and Reef Finance are announcing today that Next Earth will take advantage of Reef Chain’s advanced features. The integration will enable Next Earth to take advantage of Reef’s EVM-compatible blockchain, powered by next-generation blockchain technology that utilizes Nominated Proof of Stake as its consensus protocol. In addition to its state of the art cryptography, Reef Chain will offer invaluable resources to Next Earth’s metaverse project as it evolves. There are many points of potential integration, which will be explored in-depth in a collaborative manner.
