Education Needs Less Critique, More Vision

Without shared vision we don’t know what to create, only what to tear down.

Developing a Shared Vision

“Without new visions, we don’t know what to build, only what to knock down. We not only end up confused, rudderless, and cynical, but we forget that making a revolution is not a series of clever maneuvers and tactics, but a process that can and must transform us.”

Robin D.G. Kelley

A New Shared Vision?

  • productive work (preferably that pays the bills but doesn’t kill your soul);
  • meaningful relationships with others (interpersonal relationships and belonging to a community);
  • creative self-expression;
  • civic and political engagement (making the world with others); and,
  • health (physical, mental, and spiritual).
