Big Boogers

Abigail is one week old today! Crazy.

From day one Abigail has had a squeaky nose. Today, she took care of that problem by ejecting a huge booger. Happy Birthday Abby! It’s pretty remarkable that one booger could make that much of a difference, but it did. There’s a moral to that story somewhere, but I can’t find it.

Our biggest concern having another kid was how Ellie would handle it. One week in the results are a little mixed. One hand, Ellie gives Abby all kinds of kisses which is painfully cute, and when Ellie says “baby” and “Abby” it’s almost a guaranteed smile. On the other hand Ellie has noticed that she’s no longer the center of attention any more. Unfortunately, she’s not quite as eloquent as I was when Mom and Dad brought Caleb home so she can’t ask us to “Put it back”. What she does instead is act up. So if you’re reading this future Ellie. Why you frontin’ girl?

Honestly, the good vastly outweighs the less than ideal. Having two kids isn’t quite the sea change as the first, but it’s definitely different… Even though Brionna does roughly 98% of the work it’s been a change for me too.

In unrelated news Brionna said I couldn’t buy a sprinter off Craigslist tonight. Which is somewhat alright because I said we wouldn’t get one until 2020. But, this was a good deal!
