Don’t know about you, but my January work schedule is completely out of hand. It’s a bit weird seeing my friends having holidays or celebrating slava (greetings to Balkans!) while workaholic in me has to be forced to close work-related tabs at 10 PM.

Tracking events for the next week reminded me of a conversation I had with my team about scheduling of online events. Some were arguing for having online sessions during the work time explaining that people do not want to be exposed to this kind of content after working hours. Evenings should be for walking a dog, making a dinner and binge-watching Netflix. Others were on the opposite spectrum by arguing that nobody has time to attend online events during working time, especially the ones that share knowledge and have edutainment content.

It’s difficult to draw the line here. If you have specific insights about online event scheduling, please leave a comment or get in touch.

As for me, I usually experience little spark of joy if event of interest is in late afternoon hours. It means that bulk of my work can be finished before I tune into an interesting conversation online. And next week is promising some interesting evenings.
