A little special edition of re:compass in celebration of International Women’s Day is dedicated to all the amazing women in tech I have meet. You are gorgeous inspiring creatures, and I miss you all very much. We all can still stay in touch online though, thus this guide picked to highlight some initiatives in Europe that do outstanding job by creating community and networking opportunities for women and womxn in tech. Selected initiatives are active on European and global level, however, there are number of supporting organizations on country or regional level that haven’t been covered in this guide. Please check Sifted article that lists over hundred of diversity in tech communities if you are looking for those. And since the main purpose of re:compass is to recommend weekly events, the small selection will be provided by the end.

Female Factor

The female factor is a curated global community for a new era of female leaders with aim to create tailor-made career and business opportunities for womxn entrepreneurs. Based in Vienna, the Female Factor welcomes womxn talents across all industries. The initiative is globally minded and currently manages a community of 6.500 members.

Female Founders

Female Founders is the fastest growing community for female entrepreneurial minds in Europe, currently counting 5.500 members. The organization is based in Vienna, Austria and is the mastermind behind many events that tie community together, notably Lead Today. The Women in Technology World Series

The Women in Technology (WIT) World Series is dedicated to promoting diversity in technology and network with the women at the top of their game from enterprises and tech start-ups alike. Started in London the initiative expanded quickly worldwide, organizing events from Cape Town to Santa Clara. WIT flagship events are Women in Finance, Women of Silicon Valley, European Women in Technology and global WIT Online Festival.
