redefining & fabulous is an online magazine aimed at pan, bi, fluid and questioning people. We are a lifestyle publication for those who feel like their romantic and sexual attractions aren’t catered to within straight or gay focused magazines. Instead, we are self-including and writing our own narratives.

The founding idea behind refab magazine was a place for new, aspiring and established writers to discuss their interests, their concerns, their joys and the many ways in which their intersectional identities affect their lives, or don’t. We are redefining how we talk about ourselves, and doing it in a fabulous way, whatever fab means to you.

This is refab magazine 2.0.

I started this thinking about my own identity as a bi man. My goal was always to hold the door open for anyone else who wanted to come through. To do that, our publication has to be as inclusive as possible.

That means not leaving out disabled queer people, it means using all the letters of LGBTQIA+ (even as more get added), it means advocating for black and brown people, people of colour, all around the world and recognising the racist systems in place in the world, recognising trans people as their gender identify and standing up and being counted when needed, not just when called upon.

It also means recognising that we can’t fix everything in the world at once and that sometimes, everyone, needs a break and a little bit of happiness. We aim to provide opinions on important issues, as well as deep, silly dives into your favourite medias and trends. We want to be the starting point for discussing important topics, both serious and not so serious.

Come one, come all!

We want writers of every background, those who identify as bi, pan, queer, fluid, questioning, or anyone who feels that refab magazine is the right place for them to share their writing. Bear in mind that we are progressive and respectful. We want to hear from those with intersecting identities, like those who are ace and pan, bi and fat, queer and with mental health issues. Everyone has something to say.

If you want to write for us, please email: redefiningfabulous@gmail.com.
