Making it inclusive:

Making REFACTR.TECH accessible to everyone is a high priority. Here’s our approach to ensuring we create an accessible event.

• First, we started with a code of conduct that outlines expectations clearly to create a safe space for all people, but especially for marginalized people who sometimes feel uncomfortable at tech events
• Our location, The Loudermilk Conference Center is ADA compliant, so there are no physical barriers to attending or speaking
• We’ve added live-captioning to assist people who may benefit from having talks available in a written format during the conference
• Bathrooms will be a mix of all gender and single gender, to allow people to choose what is most comfortable for themselves
• Volunteers will be available to help orient and direct people
• We will have a designated quiet room for people, especially introverts, to have some quiet time and recharge
