Empowering The Warrior Within
A poem by Belinda Takyi
I have a warrior within; she is not the strongest but has won numerous battles!
The warrior within does not use a bow or arrow but uses courage and hope. She knows when to battle and knows when to observe.
The warrior within does not have much enthusiasm for other things, but it has endurance and resilience to survive life as it happens!
There are days the warrior within does not feel like fighting, and there are days she does not know how or where to start due to the intensity of the battles, but she still stands her ground and weather the storms
The warrior within has days, that feel she is losing the battle, but somehow, she pulls herself together and face the foes more fiercely than ever!
The warrior within does not boast and brag about accomplishments, but she knows that she has conquered a lot in life so far…
The warrior within has conquered childhood poverty and trauma; she has conquered discrimination and prejudice and has always come up on top.
The thing about the warrior within is that; to others, she is nothing, but to herself, she is everything!
