The boss had instructed her to give a QUOTE.
This was an important job. Not just any quote would do.
It had to be just right.
She searched in and out.
She searched high and low.
Robert Frost, Mother Teresa, Mark Twain, Emily Dickinson
Finally, she decided upon:
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
A perfect quote. A quote worthy of the entire world’s notice.
Good thought, said her boss…but I need a QUOTE, Scare.
A quote…a quote….
What more could he want?
She gathered her quotes and added them up —
there were 2,865 of them.
She told her boss — the grand total of 2,865
PERFECT! said her boss — just the amount I was thinking.
