Two Deaths!
My Dad was quite ill. He’d had open heart surgery and now was re-hospitalized for an infection. He was improving!
Since it was his birthday in a few days, my Mom called me, offering money for a plane ticket to fly out to California to surprise him.
YES, of course I would. I envisioned landing and going straight to the hospital with my Mom to see him.
Leaving my family behind, off I went for the hour’s drive to the airport. As I made myself comfortable during the flight, I pulled out a small notebook to jot down my thoughts while on my way for the three hour flight.
Thoughts kept coming as if from my heavenly father and my earthly father. I would write the thoughts down and put my notebook away. When more thoughts kept coming, I finally gave up and kept my notebook readily available.
One thought that came to me was that if something happened to my Dad, I would pick a rose from one of his bushes and give it to him.
He felt so close to me, the entire trip!
When I landed in Palm Springs, I was greeted by my siblings, their red eyes telling the story. Dad had died! He had died when I was flying to him.
Yes, I gave him a rose from his own rose bush.
Eleven months later, I was sleeping. The night was pitch black but I bolted upright as a bright light flashed into my bedroom.
What was that?
We lived in a rural area with no streetlights…no lights of any kind.
What was that?
The next morning my brother called me, letting me know that my Mom had died in her sleep that night.
Was it possible?
I pictured, as she left earth for her heavenly home, that she ‘flew’ by my window in the form of a bright light, awakening me to say goodbye.
