A question on silence

Space = Silence = Breath = Being = Past = Flux

Today it is easy to express ourselves. It became easy to write more and more words, play a lot, talk a lot, paint on the whole canvas and clog up our creativity.

Still, it is difficult to find the right words and it is more difficult to say nothing at all and just keep listening and keep silent.

Play less, mean more: you will need a lot of courage.

Silence expresses what still not exists, but at the same time ensure what has lived in the past. It’s the breath between phrases.

I do not think of silence as a dot. Never. I think of it as a comma. Spaces, as the commas, make our words full of meanings.

As musicians and makers, we can use space in order to push the music in one way or another.

But, does silence really exists?
I personal believe it does not. When I put my saxophone aside, I can still hear so much music going on.There are always sounds around us.

What’s your take?
Please let me know in the side notes and follow me on Twitter.

Thank you,
Mike.
