Oddly enough, I really missed swimming. I realized that I’m not even 20 yet, years away from my physical peak. There’s always a small part of me that hopes I can be a faster swimmer than I was in high school with just a little bit of training. So with that in mind, I decided to get back into swimming shape over the summer. Many of the earlier swims were absolute mental warfare; it hurt knowing that I was going slower than I was freshman year of high school. I’m glad I made it through though. I’m not quite back to where I was, but I’m happy with my progress so far. Maybe I’ll start training for triathlons this fall :)
