Making it on Facebook as a brand is hard, the organic reach for a Facebook page is around 3%-4%. That means out of all the people who liked your brand only 3%-4% will see your posts. That is unless you decide to pay for Facebook for advertising.

So what can your brand do to make sure your content keep on reaching your audience? Use these three steps to increase your reach on Facebook.

Don’t just share a link, share some interesting content with it 💯

When sharing something on Facebook from your website don’t just share a link. It has been shown that sharing only the link will generate the lowest reach on Facebook.

So instead of just sharing just a link share some interesting or entertaining content together with the link, put some text from the website, a quote or anything that will make the readers curious. This will increase the number of shares and reach you get on Facebook.

Not only that putting some content together with a link will increase the chance of your post appearing in Facebook search results, as people use Facebook to search for content having some text associated with your is always a good thing.

This post from buzzfeed has a video, a text content, all increasing post reach and a link to read further leading to the buzzfeed website.

Use hashtags and emojis 👌

Hashtags are pretty underrated on Facebook. But using hashtags will increase your reach on Facebook. Just like on Instagram or Twitter make sure you use at least two-three keyword hashtags in your posts.

This will increase the reach through people following the hashtag and through search results.

Also make sure that you use some emojis as well, as more people use Facebook through their mobile devices using emojis looks great on mobile screens. So make it entertaining by using emojis on your posts.

Share exclusive content on Facebook ❕

This means to share some content that is exclusively on Facebook, don’t post everything on your website and share the link. Make sure to make content that is exclusive to Facebook.

Use Facebook live, to share videos and live discussions. Use Facebook stories and messenger stories to promote your content and reach Facebook users. Facebook feeds give more priority to video content and users also seem to engage more with video content than photos, text or links.

Make sure to use these steps in future to increase your brand reach on Facebook and get ahead of the competition.
