Spirit, You know what I need today. Help me to rest in that. And, You also modeled for us the need for rest in the very beginning of Creation, so continue to remind me that rest is vitally important to the restoration of my soul. Without restoration, I cannot go a long distance, and there is Love in rest.

Work, rest, rinse, repeat.

I always say there’s a reason that the word “rest” is part of the word “restore.”

To rest means you cease work, relax, refresh yourself, and/or recover strength.

To restore means “to renew; to set up or bring into existence again; to re-establish, bring back into use, reinstitute.” (Oxford English Dictionary)

In order to be restored, one must enter into rest.
