It has been a hectic week with guests at home, health issues, lab tests, and doctor visits, not to mention intermittent heavy rains putting a damper on plans made and canceled.

Yet, in the balance of life, there have been bright spots and blessings to count.

  • The sun did show up and shine if only for a little while every day.
  • Some of my plants sprouted fresh leaves. I am always amazed by how rain is like a boost that accelerates growth where none seemed apparent.
  • One day, I went to the supermarket to shop rather than order things online and it was such a pleasant experience that I resolved to do it regularly.
  • A close friend dropped by, much to my delight, and we had a wonderful two hours together.

Besides these, there were the usual things to be grateful for: a roof over my head, food to eat, and other comforts I take for granted.

I will add the lovely stories we received here at Refresh The Soul to my blessings that I will now share with you.

The stories that refreshed our souls
