Have you ever had a moment when you just knew you were meant to do something? Or, perhaps, you did something and immediately sensed you needed to go back, say no, or rescind.

That’s your intuition speaking.

I’ve had many of those moments. Just recently, my husband and I were cleaning our house. We have … nope … had a couple of Ruggable rugs in key places. If you’re unfamiliar with the ruggables, they have a rubber backing that you can remove to toss the fabric side of the carpet into the wash. One side of the rubber backing is non-slip, which is the side that touches the floor. The other side of the rubber backing resembles Velcro because it keeps the light fabric carpet attached to the rubber.

I had taken the backing off, trying to figure out how to clean it. I had never turned it over, and as I stood over it, one of my feet touched the edge of the rubber backing, and my leg slipped out from underneath. It was as if I had stepped in grease—that’s how slippery it was.

I was going to turn it back over, but instead, I yelled to my husband, “I turned the back…
