There’s a strange kind of beauty in the unexpected. That’s something I’m learning. I’ve clung to some familiar things—holding tight, even gripping my routines, schedules, and being comfortable in all of that.

But what’s the fun in that? More importantly, what if I let go a little and leaned into the whispers of, Let go. Just say yes to the unknown and uncertainty.

It’s scary, right? Saying yes to the unexpected can feel risky. For me, it can feel like stepping off a ledge before you’ve seen the bridge. What I’m learning is that in that moment when I just say yes and let go, something remarkable happens. Life begins to write a story I couldn’t have scripted or dreamed of.

What if you dared to loosen your grip on an old story? What if the fairytale you’ve been rehearsing for days, weeks, maybe even years, isn’t the one your soul is meant to live?

Sometimes when things don’t go according to your plan, they go according to God’s plan. — Marianne Williamson
