This month the RefToken team have visited Yokohama for the Japan Blockchain Conference.

The RefToken team have rocketed into 2019, and we’ve got a lot of interesting developments to share with you from the beginning of the new year.

As part of our marketing and networking effort, during January, we visited two major blockchain conferences in Asia. The first of these was ‘Chainers’ during Blockchain Week in Seoul, South Korea. Chainers is a huge blockchain developers conference, which ran from the 23rd — 24th of January. It’s a landmark event on the East Asian blockchain calendar, and it gave our team a great chance to network and meet with some key industry figures in Korea.

We also visited the Japan Blockchain Conference (JBC) on the 30th — 31st of January in Yokohama, Japan — One of the largest blockchain conferences ever held, and the largest crypto conference in Asia. The JBC featured some industry heavyweights, including Tim Draper, Charles Hoskinson and Roger Ver, with many far reaching discussions about the future of blockchain technology. It was a valuable opportunity for our team to network and meet new clients, in addition to learning about emergent new trends in blockchain technology.

As we mentioned during our last update, the RefToken platform beta launch is just around the corner. We wanted to avoid a beta launch which was ‘bells and whistles’ but with broken functionality and no substance. Many of our competitors have released beta’s which are heavy with bugs and flaws, and as we already have our prototype which conveys our vision, we wanted to launch a beta which is fully functional from the beginning. So, to this goal, we are ironing out some of the finer details, and we expect it’s launch to be imminent.

We also identified the need for a UI redesign of our platform, which will make it more appealing to both merchants and affiliates. Throughout 2018 our core focus was the stability, security and functionality of the platform. Now as our official launch draws near, we are taking the time to start thinking carefully about how things look and feel as well — a major part of the user experience.

Likewise, work has now started on an extensive marketing campaign and strategy ahead of the launch of the RefToken platform beta. This has included signing more partners to our launch, and affiliates to use the platform and promote RefToken at the same time.

Our developers are working overtime to deliver the RefToken beta platform, and our next community update should include some further details about this launch. It’s exciting to think of the community and users who are going to be using the platform in just a short while.

Thanks for starting the new year with us here at RefToken,
