Regen Network is a global team comprised of talented, inspiring, and hardworking individuals from all walks of life. Geographically spread from California to Finland, with talent ranging from decades of coding to deep-rooted permaculture wisdom, our team unites around the dream to reverse anthropogenic climate change while empowering small family farmers and incentivizing ecological revitalization.

Our project is run on blockchain, but we are fueled by society and the environment. At our very core, we are about the people contributing to a regenerative world. We are about connection, collaboration, and community.

So, we would like to say hello. Meet the people behind Regen Network.

Gregory Landua, Chief Executive Officer

Gregory is a Regenerative Agriculture Practitioner and farmer, co-author of Regenerative Enterprise, and co-creator of the 8-forms of capital framework. As co-founder and CEO of Terra Genesis International, he has helped grow an ecosystem of organizations dedicated to regenerative agriculture.

Christian Shearer, Chief of Operations

At age 24, Christian founded the most well-known permaculture education center in South East Asia: the Panya Project. As a co-founder and COO of Terra Genesis International and Regen Network, he combines his whole-systems project management experience with his passion for transformation of our social systems.

Aaron Craelius, Chief Technology Officer

Aaron has worked in a wide range of areas, including desktop programming in C++ and C#, back-end and front-end web development, and embedded and FPGA work. As an avid environmentalist, harnessing the technology to benefit the planet and its inhabitants has been a long-time dream.

Sara De Moitie, Chief Marketing Officer

Sara De Moitie is a strategic and user-centred designer. She has several years of experience as a product designer, service designer and graphic designer, working from front end strategy to detailed design and development. She has also worked as a design thinking teacher and coach for several university courses, including a year-long master’s course at Aalto University and Stanford University.

Jared Smith, Developer

Jared has managed large virtualized server clusters, started more internet companies then he can remember (a few of them are still around), and has been self-employed in the digital sphere since he left University, where he studied computer science and anthropology.

Will Szal, Economic Strategist

For the past ten years, Will has been working and learning in the local food and local economy space. As a graduate of the Learn to Farm Program at the Farm School, he helped start the University of Massachusetts Permaculture Project and the Slow Money group PVGrows.

David Fortson, Network Building and Marketing

David is the co-founder and CEO of LoaCom, a movement and marketing firm working with better world companies. David and the LoaCom team joined the Regen Network team to support marketing, movement-building capacity, events, fund development, and strategy.

Brain Weinberg, Strategic Partnerships

Fueled by the desire to create authentically positive impact in the world, Brian’s focus is at the intersection of personal/spiritual growth and global regeneration. With a professional background that includes COO at NEXUS to spearheading new podcasts and websites to managing an agricultural microfinance portfolio with over $100 million in investments in Latin America, Brian brings a wealth of experience and ambition to the team.

Brecht Deriemaeker, Ecological Protocol and Hardware Engineer

Brecht has worked on ecological regeneration design teams and environmental efficiency engineering jobs; and now leads the Ecological State Protocols for Regen Network.

Gisel Booman, Landscape Ecologist — Science Lead

With a PhD in landscape ecology, Gisel has studied the dynamics of ecosystem services in agricultural landscapes, both on land and by remote sensing and GIS. She now leads the integration process between the Ecological Protocol development and the current state of remote sensing. Her main focus is to develop GIS tools to estimate the increases in carbon capture that occur in agricultural lands when best management practices towards regenerative agriculture are implemented.

Pete Farmer, Technical Development

Pete first started programming before the wheel was even invented and computers were just made out of rocks. He backstops the Regen Network technical development team with hard earned coding skills.

Alyssa Pace, Marketing and Communications

Passionate about food systems, sustainability, and justice, Alyssa supports Regen Network marketing and communications to excite the public about blockchain’s potential to build a better world while respecting the deep-rooted wisdom of global farmers.

Clare Politano, Developer

Clare is a software engineer dedicated leveraging tech to create a regenerative future. Her mission is to use blockchain and AI for scaling permaculture to global food production and achieving planetary regeneration. Clare is also the co-founder of pay transparency and pay equity platform PayCheck. She previously worked in refugee resettlement, sustainable manufacturing, and nutrition and food safety advocacy.

Daniel Swid, Agile Engineering, Innovation, and Design

Daniel has contributed to the foundational success of 5 technology startups and has worked in Silicon Valley, Israel, and Asia Pacific. At VMware R&D User Experience he founded the prototyping practice and has a gift for scaling and accelerating early stage teams and ideas. He’s committed to ecological regeneration at the intersection of ecosystems, technology, and finance.

We would love the opportunity to connect with you. Be it questions on blockchain, our past projects, or potential for future collaboration, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on Riot or Telegram. We look forward to hearing from you!
