Using a multitude of technologies including the Cosmos SDK for developing their own blockchain, Althea is decentralizing the way people access and utilize the internet. Althea offers connectivity to the internet in remote regions of the world, giving some of the most underserved communities the ability to access markets, banking services, and access to the many applications provided by blockchain technology.

Similarly, the use of blockchain technology and the Cosmos SDK are an integral part of Regen Network, whose mission is to enable people in remote regions of the world to take part in the regeneration of the planet, through access to the carbon credit markets. There is a strong overlap between the aims of Regen Network and Althea and a variety of ways in which the organizations could work together. Regen Network Development, Inc and Althea have kicked off the partnership with a fairly significant token swap to align incentives.
