Status

Testnet Regen Test 1001 is now live with a genesis time of 5 June 2019 at 20:31 UTC. To see the status of our testnet, visit our published fork of the Lunie block explorer. You can also inspect the genesis.json and xrnversion.txt for this testnet on Github here.

Regen Test 1001 will be running for several weeks in order to test several iterations of the coordinated upgrade process and bring online key Regen Ledger modules. See below for additional details.

Focus of Regen Test 1001

The primary focus of Regen Test 1001 is to test a coordinated upgrade module. This is an important feature for improving the coordination and ease of upgrading a live chain that does not have breaking changes. We will be practicing governance by enabling modules of Regen Ledger including DAO functionality and our database of ecological state.

This will give the community the opportunity to achieve three main goals:

  1. Test the coordinated upgrade module and address any issues raised by the cosmos hub and cosmos SDK community.
  2. Test Regen Ledger functions built for our application specific goals of a censorship resistant ecological ledger and contracting platform.
  3. Coordinate around governance process.

How to Participate

Those who have received tree and seed tokens are invited to participate. View blocks and participate in testnet governance by logging in with your cosmos address at the Regen fork of the Lunie block explorer.

If you have not been included as a genesis validator but have received tokens, you can spin up a validator once the network launches. All participants in the Gaia 1300 testnet for Cosmos Hub have received tree tokens, the testnet staking token for the Regen Test — 1001

If tree tokens were not sent to your address, you can still join the testnet by submitting a request to the faucet here (to be published soon).

How to Setup a Node

To setup a Regen Ledger node, follow the instructions here. Many thanks to the CypherCore team for contributing these instructions for our community.

Future Regen Testnets

We will be renaming all future testnets Regenesis.

We will be announcing an incentivized testnet for qualified validators to participate in where we will have a point system that tracks key activities and value generated by participating in the test net. We’ve been inspired by the Iris.net fuxi testnet incentive program after hearing good feedback from the validators who participated. We will announce details about the incentivized testnet after the Berlin Interchain Hackathon event June 15 and 16.

And expect updates from our dev team
