Today is Green Monday, which in the world of the internet means today is one of the biggest shopping days before you will have to get in your car and suffer through the abominable mall parking lot in search for that last minute gift for your in-laws that you forgot about. We would like to take the word “Green” into our own hands, and suggest some awesomely sustainable, USA Made stocking stuffers for your eco-loving loved ones.

  1. Barnana
Helping South American Farmers tackle food waste

Barnana is one of the hottest snacks right! Organic banana farmers in South America are loosing 20% of their yield due to small imperfections or being “too ripe.” Using fair trade, organic ingredients, Barnana takes those bananas and makes them into a delicious, potassium filled snack.

2. Imperfect Produce Subscription

If you couldn’t tell, there is a trend to the way revolutionary companies today are approaching food waste, and it is quite simple — one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Imperfect Produce helps farmers sell the produce that would normally go to waste because it is not up to the high standards of what a grocery store wants. It is sold in a discounted CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box that you can get delivered to your door weekly or bi-weekly. You can customize your box, and they will tell you why their impeccable produce is considered “imperfect.”

Imperfect operates in the Bay Area, but is expanding to LA in the new year. Sign up early with code PRETTYUGLY for your first box free up to $20. Not to mention, we love Imperfect so much that we partnered with them, so you can now add ReGrained bars to your weekly box!

3. ReCap Mason Jars

For the DIY junkies out there, who does not have a million and one mason jars lying around the house? ReCap Mason Jar lids turn your mason jars into useful household containers that will make you want to create your own pickles, dressings, and household cleaners from scratch. Holiday sale is going on right now until December 16th.

4. Chirps Chips & Critter-Bitters

Another trend that we hope will make its way mainstream are Crickets! Crickets are a great source of protein, and take an unbelievable small amount of water to produce, making not only highly nutritious but also sustainable. Crickets are being added to everything from cocktail bitters to chips and cookies. Chirps Chips Chocolate Chip Cookies are on sale on their website now!

5. Seedles

I am not one to boast about having a green thumb, but with Seedles, they’ve pretty much done the work for you. Seedles are colorful seed “bombs” that you can throw in any patch of dirt and beautiful wildflowers will grow out of it. This project is a fun way to teach kids about the importance of bees and pollination to our environment and a way to make your neighborhood even more beautiful!

6. Dr. Brite

With Hanukkah being 8 nights long and stockings expected to be stuffed, not all gifts can be Hamilton tickets. Dr. Brite makes amazing organic beauty products, from their popular teeth whitening pen, to their charcoal infused toothpaste and all-natural face wash, these products are not only made consciously, but work like a dream. 7. Wear Your Music

Everyone needs a little #stringbling. These bracelets are not only upcycled from famous musician’s used guitar strings, but a portion of proceeds also benefit a charity of the musicians choice. Music has always been a powerful medium for social change, and this gift is another way to amplify your impact.
