A way of life
Writing has always been my go-to place. Some people express themselves through music, photos, or drawing. Writing is my art. Writing is my comfort, my therapy, and my place to go. I started writing in elementary school and fell off a later in high school and college but knew that there was something missing. I have always enjoyed getting writing assignments over tests. I would tell myself that I have lost it. That’s because I haven’t been actively doing it. It truly is about consistency.
Unfortunately, I lost my binder full of poems and short stories that I had written throughout elementary and high school. I have learned my most sincere form of expression is through writing. The reason is because I don’t feel the pressure of people watching or judging…well until I made this blog. I have learned that regardless of what you do, there will always be people that criticize but if your support system is strong and challenge you to be better, the critiques do not matter.
I write to feel.
I write to release the tension behinds the words.
I write because I know I can.
I write for myself and others.
I write to seek tranquility.
Writing is a way of life. I will continue to write for myself and to inspire others. I will write to tell the stories that have yet to be told.
What’s your go-to? What inspires you? The perfect combination for me is the enjoyment of writing and the fact that it challenges me to be better.
