Just when you thought you found the right one, things went haywire and headed downhill. Throughout the dating journey, we will leave or be left behind by, the person we once loved. The meaning of love is as mysterious as death, nothing could explain how a person can just stop loving the other person, similar to how the heart stop beating when death occurs.
While some of us will embark a lovely journey from just the first love they encounter, many of us will go through many relationships before we hit the right one. At times, we might end up so beat up that we totally drop the idea of being attached. Here are some heart wrenching breakups scenarios we commonly faced in recent years.

#1 Runaway bride/groom (Fear of commitment)

This should top the most heart wrenching breakups ever. From dating to marriage planning, nothing along the way seems to spell trouble. Your partner is the most eligible and ideal person in your life and everyone around you are jealous of who you are dating. That person might not only just look stunning, he/she could also be smart and knowledgeable.

All these factors made you decided to marry your partner because you know the partner’s traits complement your life. Probably there was a discussion of what to do as a married couple during the dating stage too. However, on the beautiful day where plans were made, the other half did not appear to walk the aisle together. Numerous calls and attempts to locate him/her failed. The person you love simply vanished into thin air. Or course if the person is nice enough, there will be a message to apologize with a reason for not turning up.

Many of us run away from fear, it could be fear of reality or commitment which we will do it subconsciously. This is common in work environment as most of us will just quit on the job if things get tough. However, facing this on the big day can definitely be the most heart wrenching moment.

#2 Runaway bride/groom (Third party involved)

Similarly to #1, the shock level will be high. The third party was never known till the partner finally disclosed when they decided to take flight from the aisle. This could be effects of guilt or simply the partner does not love the bride/groom to be enough. The person chose to run away, either to be in the arms of the third party or simply away from everyone. No matter the cause, your way out is either hate or simply forget about such a person because it is not worth the effort to brood over it. Betrayals were never meant to be forgiven.

#3 Divorce

What led to a divorce is normally caused by incompatibility. This could be due to the recent social norm where people rush into marriages and regret later on. To make things worse, both parties usually have financial stability to move on. Legally, the male counterpart will suffer more in financial aspect as they are required to service a legal alimony. Not siding any gender, there is an increase in divorce cases involving the females cheating in the marriage. However, let us not start a debate on this as we are merely focusing to find out which are some of the heart wrenching breakups. Usually those affected will not only be the couple, even family members and friends will be affected. If there are children involved, the ones that suffer most will be them.

#4 Dating Stage (Honeymoon stage)

Honeymoon stage is always the sweetest stage in any relationship. It is the time when we discover our partner’s beautiful side, and their flaws. Yet many of us will not be able to tolerate flaws and simply move on. If both parties came to an agreement about the flaws and felt it is pointless to move on, at least it is a mutual breakup. However, many of times such method of breaking up is rarely seen. The one who could not tolerate will either make a big fuss or disappear from the relationship overnight.

The one that left hanging will go through the worst stage of life. Short term plans could have been made, long term plans could have been thought of. Each plan will definitely involve both parties during the honeymoon stage. Hence it will be devastating to the one being dumped as everything will be gone instantly. It will be worse if the love is strong and the initiator just insisted of leaving without any attempts to improve the situation, especially when there are no third parties involved.
