There wasn’t a single day in University that Jeff Levine didn’t see Marla Shapiro. They were inseparable and he was sure they would end up married, he really loved her.
Once University ended and the real world presented itself, Jeff proposed and much to his shock, Marla didn’t accept. Her family had been telling her she hadn’t dated enough and there were other guys to meet, and that getting married at twenty two was a recipe for disaster.
Jeff was disappointed that she ignored their relationship, and they decided to end on amicable terms. He was hired at a television station and she went to a firm specializing in Engineering.
A few months after the breakup, Jeff met an amazing girl that everybody called Toasty. Her real name was Jill, but she was warm and caring. They went out for four months and she told Jeff she wanted to spend her life with him, so he proposed using the same ring he had offered to Marla. The difference was she put the sparkler on and within a year they were married.
Life for Jeff and Toasty was filled with happiness. She worked for a Film company doing Media/PR and they were invited to all kinds of fun and cool events.
It was during an event (a dinner to raise funds for Canadian Actors who needed financial help) that Jeff and Toasty…
