Albany Patroons host first exhibition game at Washington Avenue Armory

Armory invites neighbors, basketball fans to experience the magic of the Patroons.

ALBANY, N.Y. (Dec. 21, 2017) — The Washington Avenue Armory will host an exhibition game of the Albany Patroons on Thursday, Dec. 21. Tickets to attend this historic game are $5 each, with up to four children admitted for free per one paid adult admission. The doors will open at 5 p.m. and tip-off is at 7:05 p.m.

Residents who are a member of the Washington Park, Center Square, Park South, or Hudson/Park neighborhood associations can attend the game for free. Prospective neighborhood attendees should visit the box office and indicate which neighborhood association they are a member of. Upon address verification, attendees will be provided complimentary tickets (one per resident).

The game will include entertainment at half time as well as a full lineup of concessions open, including beer and wine.

VIP attendees include Santa Claus himself.

This game will function as the final step of the try out process. Coach Derrick Rowland will be determining the final ten players for the newly assembled team. The official team roster will be announced after Christmas.

The Green and Gold teams will play on the refurbished original hardwood floor that had been used for the Patroons during the 2000s.

Fans will be able to purchase their season tickets at the game. Season tickets may also be purchased online via AlbanyArmory.com.
