Albany Patroons, ready for 2023 season, partners with Capital Bank to offer free tickets to Capital Region children

With the purchase of one adult ticket, receive up to four free tickets for children 12 years and under
ALBANY, N.Y. (Feb. 28, 2023) — The Albany Patroons, in partnership with Capital Bank, announce their “Kids in Free” program for the 2023 season. Through this program, any child under the age of 12 receives free admission to all Patroons games at the Washington Avenue Armory.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Capital Bank on giving the gift of the Patroons to the region’s kids,” said Sam Clifford, co-owner and partner, Phoenix Sports Management.
“Capital Bank is proud to partner with the Albany Patroons on the ‘Kids in Free’ program for the 2023 season,” said Scott T. Heffner, senior vice president and director of marketing, Capital Bank. “This program will provide children and families in the Capital Region with an affordable opportunity to attend these exciting games. We look forward to another fun and successful season of basketball at the Armory.”
The Patroons season kicks off with back-to-back games scheduled at 7 p.m. Friday, March 3 against the Syracuse Stallions and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 4 against the Lehigh Valley Legends at the historic Washington Avenue Armory.
The Patroons were the 2019 The Basketball League (TBL) Champions, but fell short in last year’s championship game against the Shreveport Mavericks.
“We are really excited to get the season started. We look forward to what this season will bring and appreciate Capital Bank’s partnership,” said Derrick Rowland, head coach for the Patroons. “Having the kids here cheering us on and being a part of this experience is really special.”
As part of their ongoing commitment to community involvement, the Albany Patroons will be visiting area schools, and providing vouchers for free tickets to a variety of local events for grades K-12.
This season’s roster is listed below and will be led by head coach Derrick Rowland and assistant coach Mike Shewmaker.
