Art on Lark to take place on Saturday, June 10
Event to take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Albany’s Lark Street
ALBANY, N.Y. (May 22, 2017) — The Lark Street Business Improvement District (“Lark Street BID”) is proud to present this year’s Art on Lark on Saturday, June 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This summer street festival celebrates local arts, artisans, and businesses. Lark Street will be shut down to vehicular traffic, allowing visitors to enjoy all that this event has to offer.
At Art on Lark, festival attendees can expect to view the work of photographers, painters, jewelers, ceramicists and more! Live music from Restless Streets, Another Michael, Apostrophe S, DJ Tall Matt, A Deer A Horse, Hospital Corners, Top Nachos, and County Mike will be performed throughout the day.
“Art on Lark transforms Lark Street into a bustling outdoor market showcasing the work of local artists, artisans, and musicians. It is truly a day to celebrate the many talents that can be found in the Capital Region. We are proud to host an event that unites Lark Street with the residents of Albany,” said Dan Atkins, board chairman, Lark Street BID.
This event is one of the ways the Lark Street BID strives to bring together the residents, merchants, and visitors of Lark Street. The Lark Street BID is a not-for-profit organization with the ultimate goal of growing, enhancing, and sustaining the unique Albany neighborhood that is Lark Street.
Art on Lark is the second largest street festival in upstate New York and was named the Capital Region’s Best Arts Event by the Times Union Readers Poll. This street festival is an exciting display of Albany’s arts community. With over 70 local vendors, a variety of performances, and delicious food, Art on Lark is a great event for the whole family.
