Reston theater will offer new releases, private movie parties and a CinemaSafe® Experience

RESTON, VA. (May 21, 2021) — Bow Tie Cinemas is pleased to announce that it will open the Reston Town Center 11 & BTX on Friday, May 28.

The theater will play brand new Hollywood movies like A Quiet Place Part II, Cruella, Spiral: Saw, Dream Horse, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, and more. Advance tickets are now on sale for A Quiet Place Part II, Cruella and other upcoming releases and events.

The theater will kick off its opening with a “Welcome Back Weekend” from May 28 to 30. The weekend celebration will feature a free small popcorn offer (with the purchase of any non-alcoholic beverage), automatic entry into Private Movie Party and free ticket raffles (when transacting with your Criterion Club card on tickets and concessions this weekend) and a fully open bar and kitchen.

Reston customers will be able to host a Private Movie Party for up to 30 guests in the comfort of their own auditorium. The private screening is a fun and safe way to return to the movies in a secluded space with friends, family, and proper social distancing. A Private Movie Party can be easily booked on Bow Tie’s website for as low as $149. Reservations for larger groups and corporate buyouts can be made by emailing specialevents@bowtiecinemas.com.

Tickets for next week’s movies and Private Movie Party bookings are now available for purchase on the Bow Tie App and at www.BowTieCinemas.com.

Bow Tie is one of the hundreds of Exhibitors participating in the CinemaSafe® NATO initiative. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bow Tie Cinemas has instituted numerous new policies to keep its customers and employees safe and to comply with applicable guidelines. They include:

· 100 percent reserved seating in all auditoriums

· Auditorium capacity limitations based on local guidelines

· Upgrades to the mobile app and lobby kiosks to allow for contact-free purchasing of tickets and concession items

· Mandatory wearing of facemask for staff and customers in all parts of the theater unless consuming food and beverages in their seat

· Installation of plexiglass barriers at box office and concession stand

· Frequent cleaning of touch points throughout the day

· Enhancements to overnight professional cleaning

“I am thrilled that we are finally able to reopen our Reston location,” said Joseph Masher, chief operating officer, Bow Tie Cinemas. “By exercising our health and safety protocols, we have been able to successfully provide a clean atmosphere for our guests to return to the cinema. Since first reopening some of our locations last summer, we have had zero reported cases of COVID-19 transmission among moviegoers or our staff. Guests have been returning, and leave feeling a sense of normalcy that has been sorely missed during the pandemic. Masks must be worn at all times, except when sitting at your seat while eating or drinking,” Masher added.
