Capital Region beverage producers to showcase products

ALBANY, N.Y. (June 3, 2019) — The Capital Craft Beverage Trail (CCBT) is hosting its second annual Drink Saratoga: A Night at the Automobile Museum, a pop-up New York State craft beverage tasting event, on Friday, June 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will once again be held at the Saratoga Automobile Museum, located in the Saratoga Spa State Park.

General Admission tickets include a souvenir sample glass and the opportunity to taste the world class libations produced right here in the Capital Region. The Saratoga Automobile Museum will be open, so participants can enjoy locally produced beverages while exploring the museum’s impressive collection and its new Wheels of Change: Cars and Culture of the Sixties exhibit.

“The CCBT is thrilled to be holding its second annual Drink Saratoga event, highlighting the expansion of our trail from a small collection of producers in Albany’s warehouse district to our present footprint of the eight-county region that runs from Washington and Warren counties in the north to Columbia and Greene counties to the south,” said John Curtin, CCBT president and co-owner of the Albany Distilling Company.

The CCBT would like to acknowledge its 2019 sponsors; Marshall & Sterling Insurance and Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) for their continued support of the CCBT and for their help in making this event possible.

The CCBT welcomes Burger 21 and Fin — Your Fishmonger as food vendors at this year’s event. The event will feature a raffle of member-donated items, with all proceeds to benefit CCBT member Common Roots Brewing, which is working to recover from a devastating fire earlier this year.

CCBT is also pleased to partner with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, which will be collecting donations during the event.

“We are honored to assist our friends and neighbors Common Roots and to support the important work of the Food Bank. We are also thrilled to welcome many of the 200-plus devoted CCBT supporters who completed their 2018 Passports and are enjoying free admission to this event,” said Daniel Kravitz, CCBT board member, event chair for Drink Saratoga, and general manager of Artisanal Brew Works.

General admission tickets are $30 and are on sale now at capitalcraftbeveragetrail.com. If not sold out, general admission tickets will be $40 at the door. Designated driver tickets are five dollars and will be available at the door.

About the Capital Craft Beverage Trail. The Capital Craft Beverage Trail was formed in 2015 to promote craft and farm-based beverage producers in the Capital Region of New York State. This one-of-a-kind “drinking tour” promotes some of the region’s most popular craft beverage facilities. Every producer sources ingredients locally, and beverages are created in small batches to maximize quality. capitalcraftbeveragetrail.org
