Sixth annual festival of “all things that can be pressed”

ALBANY, N.Y. (Nov. 4, 2019) — Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York’s first farm cidery, will host its annual pressing party, now in its sixth year, on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at their cidery in Albany’s warehouse district.

Nine Pin will press over 100 varieties of wild foraged apples and apples sourced Kinderhook, N.Y.-based Samascott Orchards into one Cider Monster cider blend. This year’s event will also feature the release of the 2018 batch of The Cider Monster.

Nine Pin’s Pressing Party will include hand pressed burgers from Burger 21, French pressed coffee from Electric City Roasters, massages from Albany Massage, t-shirt pressing from Compas, an apple jug bench press competition sponsored by North Albany’s CrossFit Beyond, pressed quesadillas from Muddaddy Flats, free temporary Nine Pin tattoo presses, pressing candle stacks with Collar City Candle, pressed doughnut ice cream sandwiches from The Dutch Udder Craft Ice Cream, a pie eating contest, fresh pressed mimosa bar, and more fun activities.

The winner of the bench press competition (both men and women) will receive a Nine Pin gift basket and a one-month free membership to CrossFit Beyond. Winner of the pie eating contest will win a cider gift basket.

There will be live music by Jay Maloney from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Honey Slider 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and Side Show Willie 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with 102.7 WEQX broadcasting live from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

General admission tickets are $15 (if purchased online in advance) and are $20 day of at the door (tickets at the door are only available if we are not sold out). General admission tickets include a complimentary glass of cider. Cider Monster Special tickets are $30 and are only available in advance online (includes a complimentary glass of cider and a bottle of Cider Monster 2018 to go). Designated Driver tickets are $5.
