GUILDERLAND CENTER, N.Y. (Dec. 17, 2021) — Remarkable Liquids, the premier craft beverage distributor for New York State and New Jersey, launched the third year of their Be Remarkable Holiday Drive; a region-wide collaboration between over 30 craft beverage producers and restaurants in New York’s Capital Region and Hudson Valley.

The clothing drive, now in its third year, sets out to benefit those less fortunate during the new year, encouraging patrons to frequent participating beverage producers and restaurants at each of the 33 locations that are part of the drive. Patrons will be able to donate clothes ranging from — sweatshirts, sweatpants, coats, shoes, and men’s clothing. Each location will have a Be Remarkable box where patrons can drop off their donations which will then be allocated to Schenectady City Mission.

In this spirit, Remarkable Liquids has partnered with Feed Albany to expand the Holiday Drive to include perishable and non-perishable food, utensil, and other kitchen and cooking related donations. These donations will be collected during a series of four special events to be announced in the New Year.

Donation boxes can be found at the following locations: Nine Pin Cider, Albany Ale and Oyster, Anchor Beverage 2, Backstage Pub, The Bishop, Caroline Street Pub, The Cellar, Centre Street Pub, The Crossroads, Delaware Supply, Dove and Deer, East Branch Organics, Eddy’s Beverage, The Excelsior Pub, Flatbread Social, Glenville Beverage, Harvey’s, Henry Street Taproom, The Hollow, Hooked Market and Kitchen, Horseshoe Inn Bar & Grill, Kings Tavern, Loch and Quay, Minogue’s Beverage — Malta, Parish Public House, The Ruck, Saratoga City Tavern, Slidin Dirty Troy, Spa City Tap & Barrel, Southside Beverage, Thruway Beverage 2, Tipsy Moose Latham, and Westmere Beverage.

“We’re beyond excited to have the Be Remarkable Holiday Drive back up and running,” said Spencer Noakes, general manager of Remarkable Liquids. “COVID-19 really threw us for a loop with our last clothing drive, having to pull the plug when people were in the greatest need of assistance was particularly disappointing. We’re grateful to all of our retail and supplier partners stepping up again to help us make this project possible, and for Feed Albany joining us to help expand our drive in a direction we hope will truly help the Capital Region. We’re lucky to be part of such an incredible community.”

“The successes we’ve seen at Feed Albany have largely come from the supportive and thoughtful community we have in the Capitol Region, and this project is another excellent example of that community coming together to support those in need, said Francesca Pardi, executive director of Feed Albany. “We hope that our partnership with the Be Remarkable Holiday Drive can help do even more this year and continue to prove that a little holiday spirit and generosity can go a long way for our neighbors.”

“It is wonderful to see so many craft beverage producers, restaurants and other organizations join together for the third annual Be Remarkable Holiday Drive,” said Albany Mayor Kathy M. Sheehan. “I want to thank Remarkable Liquids and all the other participants for reminding us that giving to those in need can happen beyond the holiday season. Be sure to stay tuned for Be Remarkable Drive event announcements through 2022. It is my hope that this year’s Drive will result in even more clothing and food donations than the Be Remarkable Drive has yielded in past years to benefit Feed Albany and the Schenectady City Mission.”

“It’s been a challenging nearly two years for all of us dealing with COVID, but the economic hardships have hurt some far more than others. The Be Remarkable Holiday Drive is an incredible initiative driven by our business community that taps into the generosity of customers to provide clothes, food and shelter for those most in need throughout the Capital Region,” said Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy. “While the pandemic has caused unimaginable suffering, it has also brought out the best in many of us. I encourage everyone to embrace the holiday spirit, come support these local restaurants and breweries and contribute whatever you can to make a difference in someone’s life.”

“We are fortunate to live in the Capital Region, where being a part of our community means giving back when your neighbors need you most,” said Assemblymember Patricia Fahy. “During this year’s holidays, that need is more pronounced than ever given the backdrop of a global pandemic. I’m proud to support Remarkable Liquids’ Annual Holiday Drive every year now, and look forward to seeing how our tightly-knit community again shows up for those most in need this holiday season. Even small donations help to ensure that no neighbor goes hungry!”

“I’m proud to support this holiday drive to help feed and clothe families in need,” said Albany County Legislator Samuel Fein. “The craft beverage industry is an important part of the local economy and I’m happy to see that they’re doing their part in giving back to the community.”

“Congratulations Remarkable Liquids on another successful Be Remarkable Holiday Drive! It is inspiring to see local businesses and partners collaborating to make a difference among communities across the Capital Region. This drive is truly a shining example of collective impact to support those in need and our local economy,” said Albany Chief City Auditor Dr. Dorcey L. Applyrs.
