Saratoga Auto Auction, newest premiere automobile auction, to take place on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23
Over 200 vehicles set to be auctioned off at fundraiser auction to benefit Saratoga Automobile Museum
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (Sept. 7, 2017) — The Saratoga Automobile Museum will host the inaugural Saratoga Auto Auction, slated for Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC).
“We have an exceptional collection of cars, boats, trucks and motorcycles set to be auctioned off on the Saratoga Performing Art Center stage,” said auction director Jeff Whiteside. “The event, a fundraiser for the Saratoga Automobile Museum to support its education programs and distracted driving safety initiative which grows more awareness every day. We will have over $8,000,000 worth of vehicles consigned and bidder registrations are now open.”
With Whiteside closing in on his goal of over 200 consigned vehicles, spectators seated in the SPAC amphitheater will see cars from throughout across the Northeastern United States and Canada auctioned to the highest bidder.
“We expect a large crowd to attend along with the buyers and sellers,” said Whiteside. “We have American, Foreign, Antique, Classic, Exotic, Modern and Hot Rod cars consigned along with a number of boats and motorcycles, all in a broad range of prices.”
Buyers will have the opportunity to join the “hobby” with a wide variety of vehicles under $20,000 as well as the avid collector will have a spectacular group of vehicles to choose from that have never been for sale at any auction before.

Thousands are expected to be in attendance at the two-day auction. Ahead of the auction, a preview/media day will take place on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by an abbreviated preview on Friday, Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The live auction, with famed auctioneer Brent Earlywine wielding the gavel, will commence at 4 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Bidders and spectators will also have some of the Capital Region’s best food trucks will be on site with their culinary delights. TV personalities on hand will include Steve Hale of the History Channel’s American Restoration with his 1936 Chevy custom truck which took first place at 2017 Detroit Autorama, a restored 1940 GMC tow truck and his 1972 roller skate car as seen on American Restorations and his 1990 US Military Humvee fully customized for Feed Our Vets organization. Hale will be joined by the star of the Discovery Channel’s American Choppers, Paul Teutul Jr., who will show off a few of his one of a kind custom motorcycles. Both Hale and Teutul will be available for photos and to greet the public.
