Relex Development is excited to announce the addition of an Ambassador to the United Nations and international blockchain lawyer to its members.

Andrea Garcia Romaoli will join the Relex team as an advisor to its soon-to-launch Relex Ambassador program, which will mobilize a worldwide force of Relex delegates.

Romaoli is the UN Ambassador Counselor and Coordinator against child marriage for the Simuka African Youth. She believes that advances in blockchain technology can be the counter-friction to tyranny and despotism in the world, also helping to end hunger and poverty.

“Today we live in a new cycle of dictatorships that affect the whole world: the dictatorship of banks,” she said. “The proof of this was the crisis experienced by Europe where the financial system collapsed and the governments operated according to the self-interests of the banks.”

Additionally, she says that the added transparency of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies can hold rulers and governments accountable for their actions.

“Blockchain has the potential to massively reduce corruption: bribes can be easily spotted, citizens could see where their government is spending money and the entire financial system is quickly auditable,” she said.

Romaoli said that blockchain and cryptocurrencies create jobs for people in a world that no longer provides work for everyone.

As an international lawyer, she specializes in taxes, telecommunications, and internet governance. Romaoli serves as a postgraduate professor at the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law.

She is the CEO and Founder of AA & G Lawyers, a blockchain consultancy group. She is also a member of ICANN, a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with participants from all over the world dedicated to keeping the Internet secure, stable and interoperable.

She believes that by partnering with Relex she can help people in underdeveloped territories to benefit from accessible and intelligent investment options.

“South America has the majority of its countries with low educational quality and for this reason they need the expertise of companies like Relex to provide the necessary knowledge for the security of asset investments in the economy through blockchain,” she said.

Romaoli will attend the Malta Blockchain Summit on Nov. 1 and 2.
