The Congresswoman from Georgia is the symptom of a Republican Party that has increasingly gone off the rails.

I’m increasingly coming to believe that we really do live in the worst possible timeline. In addition to the corrosiveness of social media, the impending threats posed by climate change and AI, and the ever-widening rift of partisanship that risks tearing apart our republic, we also have to deal with some of the most embarrassing and ridiculous clowns to have ever walked the halls of Congress. These days, the Republican side of the House of Representatives looks like something of a rogues’ gallery, with the likes of Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert repeatedly making fools of both themselves and the institution of which they are a part.

When it comes to the ridiculous, the embarrassing, and the foolish, however, no one can hold a candle to Marjorie Taylor Green.

From the moment that she got elected, this particular Representative has gone out of her way to make herself the subject of ridicule.
