Over the last 5 years, I’ve had the privilege of being a mentor for 2 people with the different background but with the same goal — become a product manager.

In this article, I want to share my personal insights and reflections on the profound impact of this journey.

I believe that mentorships is a dynamic partnership built on trust, guidance, and the exchange of knowledge.

Mentorship is a relationship that has the power to transform lives, both for the mentor and the mentee.

The mentor brings wisdom, experience, and expertise to the table, while the mentee brings enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and a willingness to learn. This partnership can take many forms, from formal programs within organizations to informal relationships forged through mutual interests.

It’s important to have your own unique style and tailor it to suit the individual needs of your mentee, as even a slight misstep can shatter someone’s dreams or undermine their self-belief.

Be open and be supportive — this is a tagline of my mentoring experience.
