REMIIT — Successful Meet-up in Seoul
On August 23, the first meet-up was held by REMIIT that marked as the start of the project’s community engagement. The meet-up took place at Jam2Go, Seoul with more than 100 supporters that participated.
The event began with an opening by Stevie, the CEO of REMIIT introducing the background of the remittance and payment market as well as the reason he felt the REMIIT platform was needed in the industry. The unique pain point he outlined was the difficulty local Money Transfer Service Providers were experiencing in scaling and growing their businesses on a global scale and that blockchain can act as the link between various businesses.
The project’s CTO Logan, Lead Economist Jay and CXO Ryan took the stage to discuss about the ground work to achieve the vision. The discussion that took place included the following:
- Why REMIIT needs to use the Blockchain (Logan)
- REMIIT’s Token Structure for managing external volatility and internal liquidity (Jay)
- Setting UX as the key focus of REMIIT (Ryan)
REMIIT’s team came up to the stage at the end to introduce the passionate people behind the project. REMIIT’s CEO Stevie added “I have decided to create a strong team based in South Korea and move into the global sector” and each member introduced themselves to the supporters.
The REMIIT Team ended the event with a unique Chimac After Party (Chimac — Korean Chicken and Beer) with over 80 people joining. The team had a great interaction with the community in South Korea and understand what the community views the project. It was a great opportunity for REMIIT to receive feedback from experts in various sectors and developed a strong connection with the supportive community.
Please stay tuned on what type of change REMIIT brings to the Crypto sector as well as the global economy. With the ambitious team, we believe it will create the true blockchain integration and adoption.
