Another week, another promising new partnership to emerge from REMME HQ. This time, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve joined forces with Gladius Network. As a consequence, we’ll soon be working to implement the REMME PKI (d) protocol with Gladius services. Once in place, this will result in improved web security and a fully decentralized solution for website owners.

Gladius has been described as a decentralized ecosystem that operates on top of the blockchain. It enables anyone to rent out their unused bandwidth and to form a part of the company’s CDN and DDoS protection network. They’re basically a blockchain Cloudflare, and the technology they’re pioneering has the potential to significantly bolster security for webmasters and to maximize uptime.

Cloudflare uses CFSSL, a PKI toolkit for TLS/SSL, to provide certificate issuance. While this open-source software is centralized, the solution that Gladius will be utilizing — as developed by REMME — is fully decentralized, ensuring that it has no single point of failure.

As part of the partnership, REMME clients wishing to purchase their own REMME WebAuth DApp will be able to do so on our website, where Gladius’ flagship product will be available. For businesses seeking to obtain a complete suite of web resources to protect their site, REMME and Gladius’ comprehensive solution is about as good as it gets. We look forward to working with Gladius moving forwards as we aim to roll out our network security products to as many companies as possible. Mitigating DDoS attacks and providing a decentralized system of certificate management is only the beginning.
