Gamaya, a leader in remote sensing for agriculture, based in Morges, Switzerland, has announced a change in its CEO. Mathieu Hagen, who joined in February 2020 with the mission to transform the company and prepare it for growth, has completed his assignment and will move onto other challenges.

Igor Ivanov, Gamaya’s CFO and co-founder, will take over from Mathieu, starting in November 2020. Igor will lead the company through the next phase, which is to execute the company’s new strategic plan and drive growth and value for the company. Igor’s long experience with the company, and high familiarity with the Agtech ‘eco-system’ will serve him well in his new role, and ensure a minimum of disruption during the change of leadership.

Rob Neill, Chairman of Gamaya said “We are grateful to Mathieu for what he brought to the company. He is a specialist in organization transformation and has done well to prepare the company for the next stage. At the same time, I am very excited that Igor will take over. He is highly qualified and has a deep commitment to the company. I’m confident that the team will thrive and be very successful under his leadership.”
